Before attempting to classify Messianic Judaism, one must understand the beliefs of the followers of these religions, the traditions that they uphold, and the identity of their respected ancestors. Fisher describes Judaism as, “ having no single founder and central leader group making theological decisions.” In religious terms, Jews are those who experienced their long and often difficult history as a continuous dialogue with God. In a religions sense, Israel refers to all those who answer the call of God, through the Torah or teaching given to the patriarchs, Moses, and the prophets. Christianity can simply be defined as all people who accept the belief that Jesus, a Jew, was born and died to fulfill the Jewish Old Testament prophecy.

The Old Testament of the Bible chronicles the development of Judaism, which has a central belief that the apocalypse would signal the end of the world and that a Messiah would lead the post-apocalyptic world. Christianity branches off with this belief, as the New Testament of the Bible outlines. Christians believe that the Messiah already roamed the earth in the form of Jesus Christ and that he died for the sins of humans and was resurrected.

Jesus has changed the Old Testament way in living; he died on the cross and covered our sins with his blood for every single human being, which is great for the people who were born after the New Testament. The bible says that all sins are forgivable but the only sin that is different from any kind of sin is not accepting Jesus Christ as your savior, in other words not believing in Jesus.
Zoroastrian beliefs do have a similar connection to Judaism and Christianity. One major resemblance between Christianity and Zoroastrian has to be that both religions accept that there is good and evil and as well as their belief that in the afterlife there is a heaven and a hell. It is also fair to note, that both religions have the figure of a savior who comes down to help mankind. Other than a couple difference both Christianity and Zoroastrian have nearly the same teaching. It is shown that both Judaism and Christianity were slightly influenced by the Zoroastrian teaching.

1. The religion of Judaism goes back 2,000 years to the destruction of the 2nd Temple. The two main eras are Biblical and Rabbinical Judaism. Biblical Judaism is the time period before the 2nd Temple was destroyed and Rabbinical Judaism is everything that came after the destruction of the 2nd Temple. During Biblical Judaism, “a landless people established a hometown in Israel and made Jerusalem the capital of its kingdom”.

Jesus Chris also referred to as the anointed one, was called out by God to spread the religion of Christianity and his book to the people of the land as a duty as the “son of God”.
