One of the primary differences between the spread of Islam and Christianity is the directions in which they spread.

Bell 1 During the Great Depression, the housing crisis forced the homeless to create encampments in shack towns known as Hooverville. The shacks were tiny and poorly built. Hoovervilles, named after President Herbert Hoover, were a visible symbol of poverty and the economic struggles faced by the American people during this time. Islam and Christianity are both similar and different. Both religions have different origins, beliefs, and ways in which they worship. Christianity was founded in Palestine in 30 AD by Jesus of Nazareth whose father was God.
Some religions even have different sects that have their own unique ways of worship or divine beings they worship. Islam, Judaism, and Christianity share many of their aspects and it may be because of how they originated. All three began in the Middle East. Judaism originally was a tribal cult of a single fiercely unpleasant God. During the Roman occupation of Palestine, Christianity was founded by Paul of Tarsus; a less ruthless sect of Judaism and a less exclusive one. Later, in the 7th century, Muhammad and his followers brought back the uncompromising monotheism of the original Judaism and founded Islam with a book called Quran. They introduced a very powerful method of military conquest to spread Islam. It is to be noted that Christianity was spread by the sword as well by the Romans after the Emperor Constantine and then by the Crusaders, and later by the conquistador and other Europeans (that is, invaders, colonists) in the name of missionary accomplishment
While these three things still exist in Judaism, Jewish believers do not think that Jesus fulfilled the messianic prophesiers that predicated great things. While Christianity had Jesus as their prophet, Islam has Muhammad as their prophet.
Ancient Religion Kathleen Yarbrough Post University October 1, 2017 Ancient Religion Islam and Christianity both originally came from the Middle East, and both have many differences and similarities. I believe that Christianity was the first to come about in the 5th or 6th century, then Islam came about in the 7th century, it is hard to tell what information is correct and what is not because much of the information is conflicting. I do believe from all the information that I read that this piece of information was correct, the Islam people believed that if you do something wrong you pay, and the Christians were more passive and believed in forgiveness. Both Islam and Christians believe in hell. "
