Introduction This essay is to analyse similarities and differences between Finnish System of Education and Italian System of Education. First of all, we are going to analyse the two general systems and then we will go deeper in the Primary School organization, investigating strengths and weaknesses of both systems and trying to understand what they can take from each other to improve the quality of education. Education is one of the most important aspect for a country and constitution is the base on which it’s organized and developed in both of the countries we are analysing. “Everyone has the right to basic education free of charge.
During this workshop we focused on comparing the curriculum in the United States schools and the curriculum in the Reggio Emilia schools. Being able to compare the two kinds of curriculum made it a lot easier to fully understand the curriculum being used in the Reggio Emilia schools. The main difference between these two curriculums is how the curriculum is decided upon. In the United Sate all curriculum is preset based on standards that each state decides on based the state assessments they have created. Curriculum in Reggio Emilia schools on the other hand is decided on based on the children’s interests.
The United States of America and Italy are the top organization that is rich and productive. Although both countries are similar in a few ways there is a major difference in how they operate. In Italy, there is no clash weighing down between given high standard benefits to employees and making a profit in the company. In fact, bosses and upper management believe its employee rights to receive all benefits, respect, honesty, and happiness because they did their shares of hard working in the workplace without any stress nor complaints. Whereas in this society they maximize the profit and minimize anything for the employees that will cost the company from receiving a high amount of income.
Gowtham Yerneni Flawed or flawless: this is the argument that encompasses nearly every facet of our lives, and our education system is certainly no exception. Education is arguably the single most important tool for success in one’s life, so it is a priority that our education system is flawless. Critics, such as Mike Rose, do not believe America has reached that point yet; however, I believe that their criticism is too narrow minded and that our education system is much better than they perceive. The controversy over America’s schools stems from the belief that students and educators are ignoring certain characteristics of learning due to their rigid focus on economics.
What are the difference and similarities between Japan educational system and the US educational system? Japan's education system is very strict, unlike the US where there is more freedom. Japan also studies more than most US scholars. Although they both take exams for college in Japan people's life depends on it.
Well, the quality of education is based upon the schools themselves, where social class and race separate kids. The segregation of schools based on socio- economic status has caused unequal education opportunities for kids in the United States. As a result, kids are not able to achieve future success in
If all schools whether they be elite or working class were treated the same and given the same exact opportunity to succeed, nobody would feel superior or
There is some underlying cynicism behind this form of education, which can only be noted once people open their eyes, and see how the schooling system functions. In “Against School”, John Tyler Gatto goes in depth and explains the problems with today’s form of school education. He states that a proper education should prepare students for society by pushing the students to be their best and teach skills needed to succeed; however, that is not the case for the current schooling system in America. Gatto claims the creation of school education in America was heavily influenced by negative aspects of Prussian culture; in result, creating a schooling system that promotes the production of mediocre intellects; thereby, rendering those students to be, to an extent, incompetent and manageable. These students are then sent to the labor force to be compliant workers that meet the demands of
There are many similarities between American and Mexican schools. One similarity between American and Mexican schools is the technology that is used in the schools. Mexican schools use SMART board technology and have interactive classroom support like my school, Springs Studio for Academic Excellence in the United States. Another similarity between American and Mexican schools are the subjects taught in school. In both Mexican and American schools mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies are taught.
However, the two approaches are different views of the nature of young children 's interests, needs, that teachers interact and cooperate with children in the classroom. In my opinion Reggio Emilia approach is the best curriculum because it provides for the children, the environment and materials that met their needs, it gives the student the opportunity to think and explore. Children have a verity of options in the classroom, they can do many activities and they can choose the activity that they like without teacher promotion, and there are many areas for children, such as, dramatic area that the child can act as a police officer or a doctor or any other character they like. Moreover, there is place for cooking, playing in sand, outdoor, and many other areas that help children to explore and get knowledge. In addition, I liked the role of the teacher in the Reggio Emilia schools, they emphasis on communication with parents and children and they believe that the relationship between children and parents are the developer key for the child
Both Germany and The United States have education systems, while they both require education for minors, they still have many differences. These education systems also share positives and negatives. Overall, German schools and American schools are very different because of the overall set up of the school systems. In America, you would go to pre-school, kindergarten, elementary, middle school, and high school.
Yet, some may argue that this is not due to the differences in culture and background, but rather due to the student having a bad teacher. Although it may be true that good teachers would not allow a student’s identity affect how they reach the specific student, it must be noted that teachers of students that have poor scores are “of about the same quality” (Strauss) as those students who score very well. Therefore teachers cannot be a deciding factor in child success or otherwise there would be a discrepancy in the ability of teachers where there is not. Plus, it must be pointed out “how well some of [the] students are doing,” (Strauss) if poor teachers were really the cause of the bad test scores of some students then all the students in that class should be scoring equally bad, but this is not the
So, this what i find in USA's education. In fact, the education in USA has a lot of beneficial system that attract me such as it contributes to increase in production, as boys and girls are taught to respect for productive work and the belief that they can rise in economic standing through work, effort and the desire to go where opportunities exist. USA public schools apply the best quality models in education and are role models in all educational systems in the world. I am talking here about primary and secondary schools. For example, the views about my children in USA’s school and their way of assimilation of information quickly, however they are not perfect for the English language, but that did not prevent them from understanding easily.
