Similar to Romeo and Juliet, Rewrite The Stars commences with assessing how two lovers handle their relationships, and comes full circle as the two lovers realize they’re, “hands are tied” ( Efron and Zendaya 1). The realization that nothing can be done is found in the song and Romeo and Juliet and, which is also the reason Romeo and Juliet to take their lives. Additionally, Juliet and Zendaya’s persona are very similar in the sense that both are very cautious and careful of their love, contrary to the men. Moreover, the basis of Romeo and Juliet’s love is established on the foundation of destiny. Given the audience knows the future of Romeo and Juliet, the whole play is an example of dramatic irony, which adds more suspense to this plot.

Numerous stories today tell the inspiring stories of people by many authors; however, I feel The Odyssey and Romeo and Juliet both portray similar themes in the context of the story. For example, both show the importance of love, family, and fate in the context of the story. In the story Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is passionately in love with Juliet.
Next is the comparison of Tybalt’s hate of the Montagues and now the major problem that is sitting on Watney’s plate. Tybalt hates the Montagues with a passion, this is why he has such a short fuse when he spots Romeo “ Uncle, this is a Montague, our foe; A villain, that is hither come in spite, To scorn at our solemnity this night.” (1.5). Tybalt catches site of Romeo and as soon as he sees him he off letting the head Capulet know, wanting Romeo to be eliminated just as later on he murders Mercutio. Knowing he is short on resources Watney puts his mind to it to try to solve his problem.
Romeo and Juliet is a tragic love story which results in both of their deaths. Romeo and Juliet are from rival families who have a strong hatred. When they fall in love, they don’t want their families to know. The story tells of how they try to maintain their love till death by suicide. Many characters have an influence in their deaths and in theory every single character can be blamed to some degree.
The Oxford English dictionary defines death as, “The destruction or permanent end of something.” In two stories, both sets of lovers are misinformed and make rash decisions to end their lives. Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare, and it tells the story of two “star-crossed lovers.” “Pyramus and Thisbe” was written by Ovid and gives a vile version of a much shorter Romeo and Juliet, as it is not as long and extensive as Romeo and Juliet is. These stories are both very archetypical, as many parts are similar, and you can predict what is going to happen before it does.
Known as one of the most renowned writers of all time, Shakespeare told the universal truth. Emotions are not something that changes over any amount of time. Some emotions like love, hate, revenge, and envy, are key players in most of Shakespeare's plays. Romeo and Juliet was such a successful play that many other movies have imitated the plot such as the very successful "West Side Story". Even though 400 years has past and the world has changed drastically, the emotions and feelings in the play Romeo and Juliet have withstood the test of time.

Both stories have a significant symbol that has the same meaning or impact as the other. Ultimately, the main similarity of these two works is the misunderstanding, miscommunication, and the interference between the two couples, that later lead to a tragic outcome from both tragedies. These stories also teach the readers important lessons that can one-day come in handy in the real life. This is the result of their strong, indigenous love for one another, and how their young minds had a part in this outcome. After the gas station scene one of Romeo’s friends invites him to a Caputlet costume party, even though he is a Montague. The party takes place inside the Capulet family’s mansion. When Romeo arrives he feels very out of place at a Capulate party. So he runs away to the bathroom to regain his thoughts. He suddenly sees a very beautiful girl through a fish tank that separates the two bathrooms.
I have accomplished so much from this Shakespeare project. I have learned how to right in a better format as well as my use of words. As much as I learned how to write and type better I also learned so much about Shakespeare and his plays. William gave each character so much characteristics. I got to learn so much about William Shakespeare himself.
