There were two different ways skateboarding was created one from scooters and one from surfers getting bored. But no one knows who created it, but many people claim to have without evidence.
One way skateboards were created from the idea there was a product that was a three wheeled metal device with pedal wheels and a fit able hell cup and toe clip in the 1920s. In 1930s another three wheeled device called “Scooter Skate”. It’s like a hybrid of a skateboard and scooter at this time. Then in the 1940s there was a four wheel device called “Skeeter Skate” that had a removable handle.

In 1963 the first professional skateboard is created by Larry Stevenson. Skateboard companies start popping up along with competitions. The first competition that has been organized was sponsored by Makaha held in California. A year later it begins to die down and everyone think was a fad, and leaving skaters to make their own parts, because many companies closed.
In 1873 Ron Bennett created the first trucks designed for skateboarding. In 1972 Frank Nasworthy invents urethane wheels to replace clay or metal wheels that many people were using. In 1976 Vans started noticing that skaters had no shoes with a good grip to stay on the skateboard which leads to the skaters shoes.
In 1978 Alan Gelfand creates the trick known as the Ollie, which helps the popular growth of the next year. A year later skateboarding makes a really good comeback. This means more people riding skateboards again and skate parks insurance rates go up, resulting in a lot of them closing. Skaters begin to take it underground and begin to start their own private skate company, and encourage people to start designing their own boards.
