The first pickleball rule book was created in the same year the USAPA was founded. In 2005, the USA Pickleball Association was created. Now in 2010, the International Pickleball Federation was created to spread the sport all around the world. Over sixty countries are in the ICP, which holds the annual Bainbridge Cup Tournament. Pickleball doesn’t have a lot of playing equipment. The court is 20 feet wide and 44 feet long. The net is in the middle of the court and is thirty-four inches high. On both sides of the net, there is a seven-foot rectangle called the non-volley zone or the kitchen. The paddles are made of various materials like plastic, wood, and metal. The cores of the paddles are usually made out of aluminum and polymer. The hitting surface can be made of graphite, composite, and other materials. The hitting surface and handles can be any color or design of your choosing. The paddles are bigger than Ping-Pong paddles but smaller than tennis paddles. The ball is hollow and made of molten plastic. Indoor balls have 26 holes and weigh less than an outdoor ball which has 40 holes
