1. Reflect on what you have learnt from the meetings with your Mentor, including the presentation that you gave to your Mentor?
During this project it has been necessary develop my writing technique, my mentor advised me to write in the third person to achieve the correct professional tone. I believe I am concise and accurate when expressing myself, however writing in the third person was an unfamiliar experience and required me to make adaptations to my style.
Rather than just selecting a set of ratios from a textbook my mentor advised me to consider which ratios would best support the goal of my project, this required the application of knowledge I have gained from my studies.

My mentor informed me that it was not necessary to retranslate currencies for my RAP.
During meeting one, my mentor and I were able to set out a time for meeting two and an approximate date for meeting 3. This enabled me to work out the progress I needed to be making to complete my RAP on time.
This project is the first time I have used Harvard Referencing, during meeting 2 my mentor was able to provide me with feedback. There were a few minor issues with my in-text citation that needed changing, more significantly my mentor advised me not to overuse direct quotations, and paraphrase wherever possible.

Also, it develops new information in a linear fashion and it is easy to move between sections, it can be read as a whole but it is possible to return to a specific section to revisit the information therein.
I believe that the report is written in a clear understandable manner, and is accessible to people with limited knowledge of accountancy; the report flows well and makes relevant, clear and concise points.
4. Reflect on how undertaking the RAP helped you in your accountancy studies and/or current employment role?
Following my completion of this report, I am able to make observations at my workplace that I am then able to support by finding a relevant external source. As such, I am able to provide references to lend greater weight to my analyses in my role. Furthermore, when preparing future presentations, I will be better able to present my findings and demonstrate their relevance and validity.
Previously, I have focused on providing analysis of financial data, completing this report has given me a better understanding of the applicability of business analysis. When confronted with the limitations of ratio analysis I will be able to provide further value in my investigations. However, as I found in my report business analysis tools are not able to provide all the
