While I have been at my practicum agency I have done a wide variety of tasks. Some were time consuming and complex and others were more on the simple side and could be time consuming or relatively quick. The more remedial tasks included entering in group notes, engagement calls, and general admin work (exiting clients from the system, updating charts, etc.). A status update is not required for these tasks because most staff members at Valley Cities Behavioral Health are able to accomplish these tasks efficiently. Although, some of these tasks were time consuming, such as entering group notes. By this, she meant that while she expects us to be busy and not have to manage us daily, she expected us to communicate what areas or aspects of Valley Cities I was interested in and she would help facilitate what tasks I would be doing in those realms of Social Work. This lead me to be a part of the Care Coordinator and Substance Use Disorder teams because I communicated that I wanted to have a feel for what a general social worker’s job would be like and that I was interested in Chemical Dependency. Susan was very open to conversation about parts of Social Work that aren't represented at Valley Cities and would find trainings within the company for me about topics not addressed in my practicum. I believe Susan was very tactful and this was a good modeling example of ‘meeting the client where they’re at’, with me being the client in this case. Educators and practicum instructors are show to be better teachers when they model social work values firsthand (Baretti, 2007). Another aspect of why this approach worked so well for me is that Susan put value on the tasks that I wanted to learn more about and do, which leads to a higher field education satisfaction (Fortune, Lee, & Cavazos,
