Sociology, Communication Studies, or Criminal Justice is what I’m considering for my major. I want to become journalist, writer, and jobs in advertising. I also don’t mind to have jobs that are related to Law Enforcement like being a Crime Scene Investigator or Correctional Officer. With Sociology degree, I could have both but I don’t want to decide right now because it’s a big decision to make so I will just pick the variety courses to see what fits me the best.

To obtain employment as a social worker, a minimum of a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree is required (Human Service).
When I complete all of my schoolings I would like to become a behavioral disorder counselor. This career is for me because I love helping people, I want to help people better understand themselves so they can overcome their problems, and the human brain and the thought process has always been a huge interest to me. Is has always been a goal in my life to be somewhere in the healthcare field working, and this is the area that intrigues me and always keeps me interested. As of right now, my future plans are to finish high school, graduate college with a doctorate in behavioral psychology, and then further on to work as a counselor in a private practice.

To enhance my experience I would like to work with veterans, adult homeless, and the mentally ill. My objective is to be admitted into the Master of Science degree program with an option in Rehabilitation Counseling, where I can grow and take on new challenges. The Profession of Social Work as a Career Goal Graduating from high school, I have always had a passion working with kids. I never put into thought exactly what I wanted to do with kids, all I knew was that I wanted to work with kids. At first, my career choice was to become a midwife. There were several complications down the road, in which I could no longer pursue that career choice.

The minor that I will select to study is sociology. I plan on attending the Great Plains during this school year. During this school year I will also applying to graduate schools.
