Star Wars is an epic space opera film series created by George Lucas, which includes galactic battles, theatrical adventure, as well as chivalric romance. The music, mainly composed by John Williams, gives depth to the storyline and is something that fans of all ages will always remember. The specific Star Wars movie that I have chosen to analyze is Star Wars, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, which was released on May 25, 1983.
The hero’s journey describes the pattern of a story that is seen in myths, drama, fantasy and others. It includes specific archetypes that create that pattern . Without the majority of these archetypes, the story could not be defined as thus. Star Wars: A New Hope is a classic example of the hero’s journey.
One day my sister Dakota, my uncle Raven, my mom, and I went to a farm the day before Halloween. At first we were just going to get a few pumpkins but then, I saw a corn maze. I asked my mom “ Can we go in it, please,” My mom said,” If it is free.” I told her thanks. We went to a pumpkin patch to get a couple pumpkins.
Food of the Gods, Starship Troopers, and A Legend of the Future all share common characteristics where the audience can attempt to redefine science fiction. In relation with the three books, there is a strive of perfection affected by human emotions, an idea of dissociation, and a relationship between technology and humankind. To begin with, Food of the Gods is able to express the idea of perfection through boomfood. Herakleophorbia was the next big thing, “a vista of enormous possibilities” as scientist Bensington remarked.
Bo Bramschreiber Block C Nov. 22nd Literary Thesis The Hero Of Erebor In the beginning of The Hobbit we are introduced to Bilbo Baggins, an unlikely hero. Bilbo was an ordinary hobbit content with his typical hobbit lifestyle.
Rebels Without a Cause Not very many people have affected me in the same way as my friend Jake Fernholz. I have never realized the influence he has had on me until someone pointed out that we talk and think the same way. I only met Jake two years ago in track, when a pulled hamstring injury caused Mr. Kellerman to have me practice with the long distance kids. Mr. Kellerman forced me into staying on the long distance team and that is where I started to hit it off with Jake. It took me a long time to be comfortable with Jake, but when I did we quickly found our common interests.
Everyone agreed. We could not think of what else we could do and were bored because we did not go trick-or-treating this
In 2008, right after Christmas my family had the special experience to go to the Cotton bowl for the Missouri Tigers football game. The Cotton Bowl is held in Dallas, Texas, back then Jerry's world (Dallas Cowboys stadium) was in the process of being built, so the big Mega scoreboard wasn’t there. My whole family came down to Columbia on Christmas Eve and we sang our Christmas songs together and celebrated Christmas together in my grandparents house. There was a bunch of us in that house, I remember walking down the stairs one morning and all my older cousins were back in the corner of the basement and they were all sleeping together in that space, I would crack up every time I saw that. This time after Christmas instead of all going back
Then one year my whole life changed. It was the night before Halloween when all through my house I was cooking my famous stew. I then noticed I didn't have enough pumpkin to my it. I went outside and I saw a bight light. As I walked up to it I realized it was a pumpkin.
This story was about a little boy who was born with epilepsy. He has had about 26 surgery’s and had half of his brain removed. He is unable to walk, so his father and a group of high school students worked on a project to have a Halloween he would never forget. The group of high schoolers worked for months in turning a toy truck into a army tanker. I absolutely love stories like this one.
Most students have an identity, an interest, or a talent that defines them in an essential way, Star Wars has defined me as a person growing up, i’ve always brought an image in my head of pure happiness. Star Wars has always been a big influence from a kid to now being 19. From collecting lucasfilm toys and watching the movies with the family every weekend. It makes me think of my wonderful family.
For example, that day our supper reservations were in the Magic Kingdom and this restaurant was where you could find Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and Tigger. I had to get a picture with Piglet because Piglet is the best. When we left, it was dark outside and there were fireworks that were so bright it was very easy to see even though it was dark and the lights were shut
My brothers and I felt hunger and pain from sleeping on the hardwood floor. We waited for my father to arrive and take us with him, yet he never came. Before I knew it, Halloween was just around the corner. Esther, the other kids that lived in the house, my brothers, and I went shopping for costumes. The other kids were allowed to select the best costumes while we got nothing.
Eight years ago I walked into a Navy recruiter's office and said, " If I join today, when is the soonest I can go to boot camp? " I did not know what to expect. However I was sure of one thing, and that was that I wanted to join the United States Navy. As those eight years ensued, the Navy began to mold me physically and mentally. Some of the changes I underwent were positive, and others were rather uncouth.
Halloween I’m going to go trick-or-treating” I replied “No you are not you’re grounded”, “What? Why?” “Your grades mister until you can pick them up you can go out and do whatever, until then you are to stay in this house” I clinched my teeth together “Yes sir” I replied “If mom was here she’d let me go” I mumbled “What did you say?” dad asked “I said if mom was here she would let me go” “Well your mom isn’t here, is she?”
