I have led many club activities such as concession stands, volunteer services, and other community led activities. I have become a great leader to many of these kids as president of our school club, S-Club. I am in very good standing academically and known for my exceptional work ethic. I have matured with each of the trials and events I have encountered that have come my way during my senior year. The skills I have gained over the course of the year will help me towards my main career goal in mind, professional.
I can make highlight tapes throughout my high school and college years(E3). Don 't get too high on your highs and don 't get to low on your lows, just be prepared to work your best. It has been found that youth with positive role models have greater self-esteem. I can give back to my community by being a partner in the play 60 campaign. I can set up free camps and talk to kids about their dream(E1).
Through the National Student Leadership Conference, I will be marching out of my comfort zone and learning qualities that will aid me in becoming a better leader. In my school there are numerous leadership opportunities, from being class president, to being a house captain, to planning a school wide event.
It is an honor to be selected to apply to the National Honor Society. One of the values that the National Honor Society has is leadership. To be a leader, one needs to be flexible, have strong communication skills, courage, responsibility, and must be tough-minded, but fair. Over the summer I worked at an adventure ropes course in Kittery, Maine. Our staff is based on two values, teamwork and leadership.
Any good program needs a strong leadership team, and I have always wanted to be a strong leader because I love helping others be their very best. In our marching band program our section leaders are called FOG (For Others Greatness), they are chosen not only for their musicality but also for their ability to work with and guide others. The section leaders during my freshman year were incredible and I longed to be just like them when I was finally able to apply and audition for the position. I am on the color guard and do not play an instrument during the marching season, therefore my color guard skills would need to be at an elevated level in comparison to those of my peers. As the audition portion of the application came about I worked diligently
I have been able to exhibit my leadership skills through the Boy Scouts of America. I first joined Boy Scouts when I was only in 7th grade. I had no idea what the organization did or what they were known for. Nevertheless, I quickly realized how important Boy Scouts was to its community and also to my
Leading people is an important skill that I believe is necessary in order to be successful in life. In my opinion there is no better way than NYLT to get this “once in a lifetime” experience. A leader cannot be a leader without followers, so I am committed to be an effective leader, starting with my troop. I would like to attend NYLT because I want to be able to lead other people and be successful. I believe that by attending NYLT I can better lead the troop and improve productivity amongst scouts.
Joining this organization would allow me to grow as an individual in school and outside of school, and as a person. I believe I show many great qualities that demonstrate the four pillars that this organization stands by Leadership, Character, Service, and Scholarship.
I believe that taking this position will help me grow as a better leader and help me develop other valuable skills
I know that all my efforts to maintain a good average and a good standing in High School will be fruitful if I am given the opportunity to participate in this organization that is made up of people that are determined, devoted, and above all aspire to help others. I am in band and I have proven that I am
Having commitment and passion for something can make you an outstanding leader. Being an athlete, I know the importance of commitment and passion. If you are passionate about doing something, then you will be more committed. Personally, I think know that the NJHS will be a good fit for me because I am very passionate about helping people and I would be very committed in doing so. Accountability and responsibility go hand in hand for leaders.
As a rising senior, I want to join the Ladders for Leaders program in order to obtain an opportunity to participate in a paid professional summer internship. This program will allow me to gain more experience in the professional world. I hope that this program will help me further explore my interests so I can have a better understanding of what I want to do in the future. There are not a lot of opportunities given to high school students in terms of internships and work opportunities. We are not taught the necessary skills required for the workplace.
Joining NYC Ladders for Leaders is an important step towards advancing my career in a more professional environment. I am excited to find an internship that will help me develop my leadership and communication skills. This program will be a useful stepping stone towards achieving my future career goals. As a freshman in college, I believe this is an Ladders for Leaders is an excellent choice to begin my growth as a young adult in a professional environment. This opportunity to work within a larger organization will hopefully give me a clearer vision as to what my future career will be.
I have attended several leadership camps and seminars, but there is always room for improvement in regards to leadership abilities. Having a higher leadership role than what I already have will significantly improve my knowledge of leadership and better refine the leadership skills that I already have. There are a lot of
The Excel Leadership Program has taught me many things about myself. First, the Excel Leadership Program and it´s mentors have helped me realize the potential that I have to be a leader and not a follower. Through their kindness and guidance, excel mentors have shaped a new person that I hope will make them proud and accomplish many things at the University of Texas at El Paso. Second, I realized that as much as I wish to be perfect I am not. I have a long way ahead of me, but the Excel Program has given me a foundation to be better each day.
