The National Honor Society is preeminent for recognizing students with imminent grades and honorable characters, I believe this organization makes a great impact in the community and helps in the overall betterment of the student as well. I would like to be assimilated in these community services to my school and to my community. I have heard how this club makes a person a better leader with a good character and discipline. I have been looking forward to this opportunity since the beginning of High School. To me, NHS’s four pillars are essential elements to being a member of this society.
As a prospective member of the National Honor Society, I feel that I would be a good fit for National Honor Society because of my willingness to do service for our community and because of my willingness to help others. In the beginning of my freshman year I aspired to be a part of such a great organization and I am so thrilled with the possibility of being a future member. It would be an honor and a privilege to be in National Honor Society and I would take my duties and tasks very seriously. The National Honor Society is an organization that enables high school students to help and improve their school and neighboring communities. It is an immense honor and privilege to be invited to be a member of this association, and it would be an even greater honor to actively participate and add to the existing society in ACST. Joining the National Honor Society would help me grow as a person and allow me to demonstrate the 4 pillars of NHS, in effect helping our school community and region in general. Leadership and service are both exhibited by all NHS members. This year, I have been starting to become both a silent and appointed leader in class.
The National Honor Society (NHS) stands by such values as Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and character; it is these values that I strive to live by. I have received the opportunity to become a proud member of the NHS, and have been humbled by this chance. Throughout my high school career I try to be involved in anything I can help the school, from being a part of community service activities. Also, I have achieved my goal to work as hard as I possibly can to stand out among my peers. Even outside of school I have worked to uphold the values of club, and shall continue to do so if I chosen.

When I first hear about National Honor Society in the beginning of my middle school years I knew that it was something I not only wanted to be a part of but that I was meant to be a part of. Growing up much of my time was spent around adults causing me to mature quickly and realize things others my age did not. I have always been driven and independent and accept noting but the best from myself especially when it comes to academics. I maintained straight A's all throughout my education up until high school. Having a 6.4 GPA freshman year and a 6.1 GPA at the beginning of junior year as well as being number 141 of 713 in my class.
National Honor Society is an organization that gives unrecognized students who are talented a chance to show their achievements. I see this program being very helpful to students, including myself, because it highlights our academic and personal accomplishments and provides many opportunities to those who deserve them. I believe the National Honor Society program represents outstanding high school students to colleges in hopes for them to forward their education and become successful. This would be useful to those who cannot afford to enroll in prestigious schools or organizations.
The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. Being selected and serving in The National Honor Society would truly be a honor. Being selected into this program would be important to me because of the opportunities it offers. I have heard of The National Honor Society but never had to the chance to serve in it. This being my first time would really allow me to immerse myself in beneficial learning and serving along side my peers. I will be able to expand my leadership skills while being able to serve my community that I longing wanted to give back to because of all it has given me throughout my life here in Columbus.
After I graduate high school, I stand determined to pursue my dream: to become a civil engineer and create hurricane-resistant infrastructure along the Gulf Coast. I plan to employ the four pillars of National Honor Society to better achieve my goals. In order to take the first step towards achieving my goals, I must first pursue scholarship, a commitment to learning. Knowledge illuminates the path to success. Without a commitment to my education, I will not graduate with the proficiency and competency necessary to enter the workforce.
I am grateful to have encountered the National Society of Leadership and Success in my life. It is a pleasure to be the President of the San Juan College NSLS chapter. It has been a great semester so far. I truly believe in the society’s mission statement considering it has helped student members at San Juan College. My favorite event that the society has as a requirement for induction are the SNTs.
I feel as though I could benefit National Honor Society through my leadership qualities, willingness to dedicate my time to the community, positive character, and perseverance to succeed in academics. While I may not hold many leadership positions at this time, I am able to step up and take charge in any necessary situations. Additionally, one can see that it is important that I take time out of my day to serve others as I devote two hours each weekend to volunteer. My academic standing is also of importance to me, believing that consistency in school is a crucial factor in achieving success. I challenge myself by choosing to take any honors or AP classes available and striving to put forth utmost effort in each class.
National Honors Society bases its members on four pillars: character, scholarship, leadership, and service. School has always had a heavy influenced my growth as an individual and allowed me to grow academically as well. In comparison, serving my school and community has always been important. Since attending Milford Mill Academy, I have been given the wonderful opportunity to participate in various extracurricular activities offered such as Student Government, Future Business Leaders of America, the Newspaper Club etc. In my 9th grade year of High School, I returned to my middle school, Windsor Mill Middle School, to help the students prepare and and propose a service project at any local organization of their choice.
