In this world we live in, there are both introverts and extroverts. Extroverts are talkative and outgoing and tend to feed off of and gain energy from people. While introverts tend to be quiet and more private and lose energy from being around people. It just so happens that I am an extroverted person, which doesn’t shock me at all. I’m always being told that I am a very upbeat and friendly person and I love meeting new people. After taking the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I found out that my results are extraversion, intuition, feeling, and judgement (ENFJ). You need to know what’s going to make you succeed or fail at various careers. With an understanding of your strengths and weaknesses, and an awareness of what you truly value, you are in an excellent position to pick a career that you find rewarding. (BSM Consulting, Inc. 1998-2015) Ever since I was a little girl, I always wanted to be one of three things, a veterinarian, nurse, or a teacher. At the young age of fifteen, I started working as a certified nursing assistant in a nursing home and on the side volunteered in an animal hospital and shelter to see if that was what I was called to do. I thought I had my career figured out in high school when I wanted to be a nurse more than anything, but I was wrong. Now at the age of 25, I’m starting over and getting my degree in early child hood development, so I can become a teacher. Personality Page states ENFJ’s “get personal satisfaction from helping others.” (Career for ENFJ’s, par.2) I couldn’t agree more with this statement, I know I get a lot of joy out of helping people.
