Steve Jobs - Greatest in Technology

Technology in the 21st century has not only evolved, but grown at an alarmingly fast rate and changed the way people live on a daily basis. From the computers we use daily, to the phones we communicate on and the way we interact with others, has all been impacted by the advancements in technology. In the 21st century society has witnessed dramatic changes in technology such as doctor office visits transitioning from paper charts to computers, to the evolution of social media, to downsizing of computers, to touch screen cell phones and tablets. One of the biggest influences in the field of technology was an intelligent and aspiring man by the name of Steve Jobs.

Sculley thought that Jobs was actually hurting Apple and executives began making plans to phase Jobs out. Beings Jobs did not have an official title with Apple aside from being co-founder, he was pushed into a new position and ultimately left Apple in 1985 to start a new venture and invested in Pixar Animation. In the 1997 Jobs took back his role as CEO of Apple Computers, where he proposed his annual salary of $1 per year and put Apple back on track. Unfortunately in 2003 Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, in 2004 the cancerous tumor was surgically removed and little was disclosed about his health. Following Jobs health scare Apple began to revolutionize technology as we knew it by creating devices such as the iPod, iPhone and Macbook Air and stocks rose to a staggering high. In 2009 the world began to notice Jobs dramatic weight loss, at which time he did a keynote speech by invitation only.
