They may not know who invented all of these devices that people use every day. Steve Jobs, the co-founder of the company Apple, is who. Steve Jobs was a very smart man who created one of the greatest companies in the United States. Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, California. His biological mother was Joanne Schieble, and his biological father was John Jandali. Both of his biological parents were students of The University of Wisconsin and were forced to give him up for adoption. He had trouble paying attention in school and was often in trouble due to boredom. Steve was known to be a prankster in elementary. The teacher had to bribe him to study and try in school. School administrators wanted to move him up to the high school level early because he tested so well, but his parents declined. In high school, Steve Jobs met his future business partner, Steve Wozniak. He was enrolled at Homestead High School. Both Jobs and Wozniak loved electronics, which helped them get along very well. Jobs and Wosniak changed the computer industry with their new computer. They started selling their computers for $666.66 each. In the end, they earned $774,000. After three years, profit increased by 700% or $139 million. Steve Jobs was now the co-founder of Apple.
The duo started to make more devices, but there were flaws in the design of the newest product. People became angry with Apple, causing Apple to lose money. Jobs and Wozniak decided to hire John Sculley, from Pepsi-Cola, as their new CEO. After a few years, Sculley thought Jobs was hurting Apple. Eventually Jobs was phased out and left in 1985. Jobs then began working at NeXT.Inc. He eventually returned to Apple as their CEO in 1997. With his return, he brought Apple back to life with new inventions.
Steve Jobs discovered he had a tumor that was cancerous in 2003. He decided to not have surgery, but altered to a vegetarian diet instead. Apple’s board of directors started to worry when Jobs postponed his surgery for nine months. He finally had surgery to remove the tumor in 2004.
