The man who started out as a college dropout, living on friends’ dorm room floors is now known as one of our generation's greatest visionaries. Steve Jobs, along with Ronald Wayne and Steve Wozniak, was only twenty one when he founded Apple, a multinational technology company. Ever since the birth of Apple Co., the technological world has flourished in unimaginable ways. Jobs took leaps of faith nobody dared to take and created something incredible. Without Steve Jobs the foundation, simplicity, and advancement of technology would not be available to us.

Steve Jobs and long time friend Steve Wozniak founded Apple Co. along with Ronald Wayne, who sold his stock for five hundred dollars a week later, on April 1, 1976 (Couts). That same year Apple Co. released their first product Apple I. Shortly after, the Apple Co. made millions. The idea of a personal computer was unthinkable at that time, but Jobs and Wozniak brought it to life. One thing led to another and Apple became stronger than ever, that is until the heartbreaking fall of Steve Jobs in 1985. Jobs’ first Macintosh computer was not selling and Jobs had no choice, but to resign. Jobs was back to Apple in 1997 when the company started losing money due to his departure. As time went on, they had disagreements. They argued on the artlessness of their designs. Wozniak favored a limitless design that is complex, but Jobs argued that a straightforward design with limited function would highly benefit their customers (Jobs, Steve). Little did Wozniak know that the elementariness was what made Apple Co. emerge. At a tech conference Jobs stated, “The main thing in our design is that we have to make things intuitively obvious,” (Isaacson). His products are simple enough for the everyday person, but have a level of complexity for those who are tech savvy. The simplicity in Apple Co. products changed the way our generation saw the world. When you get deep into it, before Apple, our society was not dependant on someone else giving them an answer to a problem which made society stronger. People were not afraid to venture off to find the answers they were looking for. Nowadays if we even get the slightest glimpse of a complicated question, we start freaking out and head straight for our phones. This makes our society seem frail and unsteady. There are a few downs on the simplicity of Apple products, but overall the simplicity has helped us more than it has hurt
