The U.S. health care system has no uniform healthcare operating system yet it is one of the unique systems among industrialized countries. The United States health system cannot be described as a single-payer national health insurance system or a multi-payer universal health insurance system but can be described as a hybrid system ("The U.S. Health Care System: An International Perspective", 2016). " The clinical and medical research in the United States has made dramatic contributions in the field of modern medicine and has found prevention and cure for several conditions. Clinical research is the cornerstone upon which the modern healthcare services are built and the US has consistently provided scope and support to the academic medical centers by funding many research programs.
