Throughout the years, America was in search of a health care plan that covered essential benefits for citizens who could not afford medical expenses. With the election of President Obama, came the Affordable Care Act, formally known as “Obamacare”. The plan, which was primarily for low-income families, provided affordable health-care coverage to every family in the United States lowering premium tax for households with incomes between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level (“Affordable Care Act”, 2010). With that being said, Obamacare also brought concern to the country’s spending and individual health care plans.
