60% of kids are on their phones at least once during the school day. Are you one of those kids or are you the other 40%? Students all over America tend to be on their phones during school. This mostly takes place in high schools and sometimes middle schools. However, it’s not an issue in elementary schools because no one has phones at that age. AHS teachers have to deal with this everyday. Students shouldn’t be allowed to be on social media, such as Instagram and Snapchat, during class because they won’t get any work done, they can share answers with each other, and they won’t pay attention. They won’t get any work done because they are too busy on their phones. If students were allowed to be on their social media they wouldn’t even do anything during the entire class except for that. This would not help them at all. Since they aren’t doing anything at that time, that means they have to do it at home and most kids don’t do things at home. This would make their grades drop tremendously. Students will be too busy paying attention to their phones that they won’t get any work done. Not only will they not get work done, but they will only have to rely on one person to get that work done and then send pictures of it to everyone. …show more content…

If students were allowed be on social, like Snapchat, they could share pictures with their friends. This would allow the other person to screenshot the picture, so now they can cheat off of their friend. They would also be able to do this on tests because if there was no rule against it, then they could be on it all the time no matter what. By being allowed to get on social media, students will be able to share answers and cheat. This is only one reason for why students shouldn’t be able to, there are many more including the fact that they won’t pay
