Danika CunninghamDanika Cunningham February 27, 2024 1st period. Sue Foot Sue Comparison Tale tales are generally stories told orally that depict wild adventures and exaggerated heroes and problems. They are for entertainment and have a more imaginative invention rather than a literal meaning. Sue Foot Sue is a cowgirl in the Wild West who is known for wrangling giant catfish and riding them on land much like a horse. In the Tall Tale, Sue gained Peco’s affection, and they got engaged, but, during their wedding, Sue rode Peco’s horse Widowmaker. He was jealous of Sue and Peco’s relationship, which led to Widowmaker bucking her off. There are many different depictions of tall tales such as Slue Foot Sue. Sue Foot Sue, in the written version, was shot down by Pecos eventually in both the written and Disney. Another similarity is that, in both stories, she went to, or at least close to, the moon. The stories also have many differences such as in the written version Sue rode Widowmaker, Pecos horse which bucked her to the moon, while in the disney version she pet Widowmaker that didn't kick her. In the Disney version, she only went halfway to the moon, while in the written version she hit her head on the moon. These are just a few of many different depictions of the tall tale Slue Foot Sue. Between the written and disney version of Sue Foot Sue, I like the written version better. I find the written depiction more interesting and entertaining than the Disney version. A few reasons I find the written version more interesting is because once she rides Widowmaker she gets bucked and hits her head on the moon, which leads her to bounce for three days and four nights. I find this outcome more interesting than her just petting Widowmaker and going only halfway to the moon. Another reason I like
