I am writing to summarize my SMART goals in terms of my academics, personal, and professional aspects. These goals will include specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timed elements, and why it will improve both my professional and personal life if achieved.

Academic

My academic goal is to earn a 3.5 GPA by the end of Fall semester. This will improve my professional life because it determines how I am perceived as an individual, especially in my future career environment. Essentially, the academic GPA system measures my ability in terms of performance, focus, motivation, diligence, and potential. These qualities are significant in that employers require these skills as it plays a major role in the telling of my goals for success, therefore it is important for me to earn a high GPA. In regards to my professional life, I would be learning effective financing strategies - from which serves as a guide for my future business plan - as well as saving methods and investing techniques. By possessing these skills, I will be able to understand the economy in better terms, and slowly, but gradually, be making more money. Also, studying abroad will allow me the opportunity to observe and analyze another country's business tactics - what factors make them successful. In terms of my personal life, the need to save money is vital. Because we will never be able to predict the future, we do not know when we can hit rock bottom. Therefore, saving for retirement, education, etc. is so important. I do it because of my desire to buy personal items. Aside from that, studying abroad grants me the experience to embracing a new culture.
