I attended the book launch for The Regina Industrial School (1891-1910): Historical Overview and Chronological Narrative by Douglas Stewart, Professor Emeritus and film screening of RIIS from Amnesia by Janine Windolph and Trudy Stewart on the evening of October 25, 2017. My first impression when I walked into the room was that there were many white faces in the crowd consisting and students and older adults as well as a few Indigenous people. The evening consisted of exploring the effects residential schools had on students, the function of residential schools, as well as the process of uncovering truth. The evening started with an introduction by James Daschuk to welcome and invite forward two members of All Nations Hope, Wesley and Audrey
I observed my son, Orion, during story time with his father, Louis. Orion just turned four in October. He is currently attending early intervention for speech and social delays at the Catherine Dodge Brownell School in the Bronx, and had began his attendance there at the end of the last school year. Every night Orion is read to before bed. This night was his father’s turn to read.
A problem that we as students of Huston- Tillotson University see on a daily basis would be how our furnishings reflect us academic students. In order to improve our campus in ways that can benefit our learning environment in a positive way we would like to focus on how our presentation produces productivity. The ultimate goal we want to achieve is implementing growth within our campus by providing a much more modern look to our furniture in our high activity areas of campus to produce academic involvement. We plan to attack this problem by employing multiple methods such as raising awareness by surveying, observing, and also researching the benefits new furnishings would give.

John-Paul Ryser Professor Lackey English 101 28 January 2023 “The Sanctuary of School” Analysis In “The Sanctuary of School'' by Lynda Barry, the author expresses an emphasis on her point of view that schools are often a source of nessecary residence for students. In this essay, Barry delivers a personal anecdote of her experience with the education system in which she came from an income level equivalent to the poverty line. In similar fashion her parents were neglectful of their daughter attributable to the ongoing stress, argument and hunger persisting in their family by the hands of poverty. Barry explains that school has always been a place of comfort and belonging for her. Barry further directs attention to the importance of school
School Position School position in the system of schools can be influenced by a variety of factors. For Loganlea SHS, its geographic location and demographic characteristics plays an important role in hampering school success. People living in a low SES within the Loganlea suburb tend to restrict children development and lower academic aspirations and expectation of their children. A number of parents with low level of education attainment are likely to underestimate the value of education and academic capability, as a result, they have less participation and support for the school. Due to low household incomes, parents may be unable to afford to buy supporting learning materials and resources such as books to create a positive literacy environment
As online schools become more and more popular, a question forms in the minds of many--what are the differences between online schools and traditional brick and mortar schools? Although brick and mortar schools and online homeschooling are similar in many ways, they have many distinct differences such as quality of education, level of socialization, and lifestyle. There are many different factors to consider when choosing the type of education someone would want. It is important to consider all of these factors before making this very important decision.
Form provides the framework through which we experience architecture, and is fundamental in the communication of a building’s purpose. In designing the University of Virginia’s Rotunda and academical village, Thomas Jefferson understood the importance of form, and effectively created a community of living and learning through his careful applications of balance, scale, and order. Jefferson’s academical village consists of two parallel rows of five “pavilions,” interconnected by colonnaded walkways. The two rows of pavilions face each other, separated by a wide, terraced lawn. At the uppermost point of the lawn is the Rotunda, the central focus of the academical village, which Jefferson modeled after Palladio’s Pantheon in Rome.
The figure below illustrates the complete building structure of current housing for students in Harrisburg university. There are few amenities missing in the current plan which comprises of kitchen, lawn for BBQ, swimming pools, parking lots, etc. Figure2: Current student
The teaching and studying method is one of the most debatable topics in the last twenty years. The reason is the active developing and integrating of the new technologies in daily life including studying. People have different points of view on the question if this is successful way for developing and making more effective study process or not. Some think that the most efficient method is “classic” method – participating at the classes and reading the books. Others display that using possibilities of technology and integrating studying with Internet and electronic devices is more profitable for wide range of people.
Developing the sense of place on the site and providing the integration of voids underlie the emplacement with its traditional and modern features and integrate it within architectural spaces. Moreover, Frampton, in his “Seven Points for the Millennium: An Ultimately Manifesto” published in 1999, mentions the fusion of voids. The most significant part of designing an architectural project is to envision the design of inside and outside together rather than designing them separately. According to Frampton (1999, p.

2. Many people have asked me why I decided to live on campus, instead of living in an apartment on campus since I am a transfer student this year. Making the decision to live in campus was simple for me. I wanted to live on campus so I could meet new people and become involved with different organizations in campus. So if I am selected to represent NRHH, I plan
