Put Me in Coach—Coaching Management Style In today’s marketplace, adding value is key to business success. Successful coaching adds value to employees, who then add value to their organizations by giving their best. Employees want to be happy, productive and innovative, and coaching creates the environment where this can happen. Coaching also supports diversity by recognizing every employee’s uniqueness. Management Styles Management styles are the values that underline the approaches, skills and techniques managers use to handle various situations and express leadership within an organization. In an organization, managers perform countless functions and play several roles. They are responsible for handling most situations with each situation usually differing from the other. “Qualities, characteristics and physical structure of managers are one of the most important factors of management style” (Dogaru, 2012). Managers have to perform many roles in an organization and how they handle various situations will depend on their style of management.
