This paper will explain three different personal management styles I portray in my current job positon. It is important to understand what type of manager style we exemplify. No style is perfect. It is vital to recognize what managerial styles are most effective, since there are numerous diverse types of work settings. The preferred personal management styles I portray at my current job include a coach tactic, along with a parent style approach, following a staff-oriented method. I am part of the management team as well as an infant lead teacher. I am extremely involved, as well as a hands on leader. While I am noticeably in control of my crew, we are however a team and I am a member of that team. The coach tactic that I use is a way to grow a strong group and I take a one to one approach with the staff. I know the objectives, strengths and flaws of every staff associate. I believe in treating each teacher as an individual. I try to give a clear amount of time speaking to my staff, and allowing them to know I am there for them professionally. I see my co-workers as individuals who need encouragement, instruction, and regulation. Involving my staff in the decision making process is a way for me to teach them how to think for themselves. Although, having a sturdy hand in the development is always a must. By offering one on one advice to the staff, it helps demonstrations that I sincerely take an interest in their personal (within reason) well-being as well as their professional security. I do spend an overabundance amount of time at work, just making sure that the center is flowing successfully.
