As an educator, the teacher will obtain and build relationships with various people throughout his/her career. Relationships such as, teacher-student, teacher-parent, teacher-administrator, and teacher-teacher are gained throughout their career and it is vital to establish and sustain these communications because they serve as guidance for the students. Teachers should establish a clear goal for his/her students and express that goal with the students’ parents, the school administrators, and his/her fellow teachers. Each of the persons mentioned above are teammates because each of them must work together to help the students succeed.

The reason being is the parent is a child’s first teacher. Therefore, gaining understanding of the parent’s initial goal and concerns for their children would inform the teacher of invaluable information as they look to establish the relationships with the student as well as feedback from the parents that will help the teacher start to form a “lesson plan” for the first semester. I would go as far as to sending home feedback surveys to the parents of my students. I would send home two surveys, on after the first quarter and one after the second quarter of the school year. This would help me to obtain the parents outlook on their child’s progress and helps me to see how my students are adjusting in my classroom. I would recommend each teacher to do this because it is a resourceful tip. I also recommend that teachers ask their students’ parents the best from of contact information to stay in contact with them. Teachers should use this information t to communicate with the parents about their children’s status and progress. Teachers should not put too much of an emphasis on areas or issues where the child needs improvement; instead, they should discuss areas where he/she is thriving or performing well. The best way to maintain a balance between administrational staff and teachers is to demonstrate personal integrity. To do so the administrational staff, for example the principal, must exhibit honesty and commitment to follow through in all interactions with faculty, parents, staff support, and students (Barlow. 2001; Blasé & Blasé, 2001; Sebring &Bryn, 200). Because the principal is the person with more power in the relationship, it is necessary for him to manage trusting relationships with the teachers and other school staff. A principal earns trust and respect by taking a personal interest in the well-being of their staff, students, and students’ parents. A principal should be encouraging during open communication and should actively make themselves available to teachers, staff, parents, and students. The principal sets the town, or leads the way, and once the leader makes it clear that he is available, others are more likely to make themselves available- and thereby the first steps are taken to building a culture of trust. Teachers should collaborate with one another. Collaboration is vitally essential among teachers. Offering constructive feedback and advice helps one another to gain a positive outlook and helps to balance out issues. Teachers should encourage and show kindness and humility to one another. Also teachers, administrative
