Showfix is a single service based company. Showfix’s main goal is to provide a high-quality streaming service that not only caters to movie fanatics but to sports enthusiast also. We are a company based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Our service can be categorized as an internet entertainment service. Showfix was created in order to make watching tv simpler. There is a plethora of streaming services out there that emulate each other. They are all interchangeable, they do not have any specific characteristics that set them apart. Here at showfix we want to distance ourselves from the competition by letting our users immerse themselves. We allow this by having many customization opportunities and by having many benefits to changing to showfix. Our product is very simple; a streaming service that allows you to obtain all your viewing needs without the need of multiple subscriptions. The market share of the streaming services is split up Netflix-36%, Amazon Prime -13% and Hulu Plus-6.5%. Almost 10% of households have two services and 40% of American homes have some video streaming service. This makes Netflix the biggest by far with about 90% of the video streaming market. The brand image of Netflix is huge, whenever you think of video streaming services you automatically think of Netflix because it is a giant. Amazon Prime and Hulu plus also have a good brand image but none compare to Netflix. The strengths those 3 major competitors have is that they are already established and they have very efficient and expensive technology. They have also have great access to capital to overcome any technological change with ease. All three of these companies have a loyal customer base because the market is an oligopoly and unlimited access to resources which makes it very hard to penetrate into their consumer
