Challenges and opportunities for an organizational environment The website 24/7 Wall Street in 2014, performed a survey with the intent of ranking organizations who were experiencing issues with the engagement and satisfaction of their employees and former employees (McIntyre & Frohlich, 2014). The survey went on to provide information on the possible HRM challenges and opportunities from 11 organizations. The survey conducted included eleven organizations, and after the results were analyzed the organization Books A Million was on the tom of the list for dissatisfied employees. For any organization the more valuable resource is their employees. Investing in human capital gives organizations an advantage, from the increase in value due to the experiences employees provides a higher level in performance based on the increase in employee engagement (Wirtenberg, Lipsky, Abrams, Conway, & Slepian, 2007).
