I am writing to express my interest in the Engineering IT Technician Assistant position here on campus. I am a student at the University of Delaware pursuing a BS in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Engineering and a minor in Cognitive Science. I am highly proficient in Java and C/C++, have experience working in Python, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and have worked in Eclipse, NetBeans, and UNIX Terminal. Throughout my education, I have taken many classes from multiple areas of the field, including Data Structures, Algorithms, Software Engineering, Computer Architecture, and Parallel Programming. This job entailed working closely with the professor to grade labs and exams and holding weekly office hours to aid the students and answer any questions they may have on the course material. Outside of the university, I participated in two internships, one as an IT Support Intern at IND and the other as a Web Development Intern at Viamel. As an IT Support Intern, I gained both communication and technical skills by interacting with corporate clients and solving any technical issues they had, including (but not limited to) installation of hardware and software, removing viruses and other malware, managing their passwords and accounts through Microsoft Exchange, and printer issues. With a focus on Windows systems, issues were solved either over the phone, through email, or in person. I accomplished this by utilizing a program that gave me access to the computer's files and specs, which also allowed me to access their computer remotely to troubleshoot problems and set up programs directly from the source. In doing this, I interacted with a wide range of corporate clients from many different fields, gained customer service skills, and improved my problem-solving skills, both overall and in the technical
