Their work was absolutely something different from the others that had their work based on sales and commercial purposes and it inspired others to follow in their footsteps of music and production. They had new recording technique ideas and ways of performing on tours, and especially a more sophisticated sound for that time. They could accomplish that by putting tea towels and sweaters inside the drums, recording their voices through a rotating speaker, looping the tape, artificially double tracking, and recording albums instead of presenting the songs only through concerts first.
