Human Relationships In life humans create relationships, some relationships are “forever”, while others fade away. The relationships that are made often determine the adventures and paths that life brings. Humans require the connection that is shared between their spouse and themselves. Their peers often motivate one to strive to do better, or could even lead them down a dark road. These relationships are often dictators in life. In Mark Twain’s amusing short story ‘The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County” , a man has a gambling problem. A man will bet on anything in hopes of winning. This man has hardly ever lost, causing this surge of wanting to bet even more. One day this man notices this frog, and he decides he will train it. The man will train this frog to jump to extraordinary heights and to out jump any competition. The man gets the idea that the frog is prepared for competition. He then sought out after a stranger to bet against him. The stranger can not find a frog around him, therefore causing the man to volunteer to go get him one. The man leaves his prized frog with the stranger. The man at this point in the novel has trust in the stranger believing nothing will happen while he is away. However, while the man is away the stranger fills the frog with lead pellets. Once the man returns with a second frog, both men put their frogs to the test. The stranger wins by a landslide causing the man to be profound. The man then realizes the lead pellets and is struck with anger. The relationship that was being made was completely put to a halt, because one trust was put upon another. Then that trust was broken due to the stranger wanting to gain an upper hand on Smiley. In Mark Twain’s exciting novel “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”, a boy and a man take on adventure along the Mississippi. The novel starts off with a boy named Huckleberry Finn in a well mannered environment. Huck who has a sweet tooth for adventure, and is not enjoying the well mannered environment, causing him to seek Tom Sawyer and make a gang of robbers. As this takes place, Huck’s dad finds out about his riches, and kidnaps him. Huck is fearing for his life when he is spending the time with his dad, because every day gets worse then the one before. Huck’s dad has a drinking problem and will seriously hurt Huck if he stays with his dad. Therefore Huck fakes his death and runs away. Huck rides down the Mississippi causing him to meet Jim. Jim is an escaped slave who ran away like Huck. The two of them instantly bond and decide to go down the Mississippi together. Along the way the two face many difficult challenges and meet interesting people. The relationship that is shared between the two is strong, because the both of them have similar stores and backgrounds. Even though the age difference is very large, the two get along as if they were brothers. Along with the tight bond, the two were able to accompany each other on the adventure allowing it to be easier.
