In both texts the same theme is almost the same, the main themes are dystopian and control. In both texts the government is hiding secrets from them. Both Jonas and Katniss want to change their society and make their lives and their families’ lives better. They both know the secrets that their government is hiding and both of them aren’t allowed to tell anyone what they know.
Simon and Rue are favorite characters of many who have read the Lord of the Flies and seen "The Hunger Games. " The various similarities found between the two play a role in this. Montag conforms to his society by being a firefighter that burns all books in their town. “It was a pleasure to burn” (Bradbury). Not only did he burn them in the beginning, but he enjoyed it.
