Have you ever really wondered what FFA is? The abbreviation “FFA” stands for Future Farmers of America. . These letters are a massive part of our history and heritage that can’t be replaced. However, FFA is not just for students who want to be production farmers; FFA has a wider range, this includes business owners, doctors, teachers and much more. Future Farmers of America is an extracurricular activity for students interested in agricultural and leadership. This organization has been around since 1928 and was was founded by young teenagers . Shortly after becoming involved in FFA I managed to not having a problem getting up in front of people to read a paper, or to show a presentation I’d put together, and had joined a public speaking competition in the ninth grade. The competition I was involved in was FFA creed, something I had to memorize and recite in front of thousands of people at the National convention. The creed is recited by members to reflect their growing belief in agriculture and agricultural education. Without the support of my FFA family and agriculture teachers, I wouldn’t have gained the confidence to speak in public without freezing up and feeling
