The American Revolution The French and Indian War impacted the American Revolution in many ways. Britain incurred a large debt from the cost of the war and the taxes that they imposed on the colonists created feelings of anger and rebellion that led to the revolution. As a result of the French and Indian war, the British were not at full strength which allowed the actions of the colonists to be more effective. Because of the outcome of the war, France was willing to help the colonists. Without the much needed help from the French the colonist may have never won the war.
Many disagreements between Britain and the colonies lead to the start of the American Revolution. Competition between the French and the British causes the French and Indian War to start. This causes Britain much debt. Colonists refuse to pay the debt for Britain, so Parliament taxes them. This all lead to the start of the American Revolution.

There were 2 main prevalent causes that fueled the Revolution and these were political and social issues. Social issues being the poverty amongst third estate members due to unfair taxation as well as the injustice hierarchy of the three estates and the political issues being that anyone could be arrested for any length of time and the rule of the divine right of kings. In France at the time, the law said that there were three estates.

The Third Estate made up most of France 's population including: lower, middle and working class. The First and Second were the delegates and nobility.

Since Great Britain was in a tremendous amount of debt, it started social and economic issues with the colonies.
