Have you ever look through a magazine and you see all these models, celebrities, or fitness instructors with a great body? After looking at the magazine, did you start criticizing your body? These are one of the problems the media has on body image. These media resources are designed to make certain individuals feel depressed about their body image. The media has a dramatic impact on the self image of how people see themselves. Most people can get so obsessed with their body image in America that the result can lead to emotional trauma, self harm, and camouflaging their appearance.

Another problem is bullying, bulling is when a certain induvial is being picked on because of how they look or someone dislikes them. Most bulling starts in school when kids pick on a classmate that mostly stays to their selves, who does not bother anyone and they are mostly the most quiet student. The person to bully these type of students are the ones who are the most popular in the class and when people see this person being bullied, The other students don’t speak up because they are afraid that the student may start to bully them. Most of the time the bully is often someone that the victim knows personal. There are many different types of bullying such as cyber bulling, social bulling, verbal bulling, and physical bulling . Cyber bulling is someone that is being harassed by an induvial that keeps embarrassing him or her on social media websites. Social bulling is someone that spread rumors about a classmate or even play disgusting jokes on them. Verbal bulling is someone that is calling another induvial rude and inappropriate name. For example, young teenage girls wear make-up to cover their natural appearance because they are afraid of what people might say if they see their normal appearance . They just don’t have enough confidence to be their selves around people. Some people may turn to plastic surgery to get the body that want . For example, rapper and song writer Kimberly Jones aka Lil Kim has had plastic surgery on most parts of her body. She has transformed herself in a whole different person. One side affect of plastic surgery is instead of it helping you to look better it actually make you look older. People have actually died while in process of getting the plastic surgery because most people body’s acts differently in surgery and they might go into shock or cardiac arrest. In most situations the doctors cannot save the patient. Sometimes people get the surgery and come out fine but they surgery mess up their body. For intends, people get the surgery and they doctor may have did something wrong or didn’t finish putting something back together, and it makes them look very abnormal. They may come back to get it redone but it may not help and they will have to live with that mistake for the rest of their life. Also some of these plastic surgery doctors are not really doctors. They are just regular people who pose themselves as doctors to do plastic surgery without a doctor’s license
