The main character of the Messenger is Matty. He is a teenage boy, and he gifts helps a lot of throughout the story. He is funny and intriguing character. He lives with the blind man, called Seer, who nurtures and cares for Matty as he would a son. Kira is Seer’s daughter and also Matty’s friend. Kira is the person who Matty must bring back to Village. pDuring the Trade Mart a man named Mentor trades his deepest self. Matty used his gift to healing Jean’s dog and puppies. Jean gave Matty the puppy but Matty doesn’t know what he should name him. Matty took the puppy to Leader and Leader gave the puppy his true name, Frolic. He finds a frog not moving with a severed leg, only a few strands of tissue holding the dragging leg on. Matty wants to help the frog move without it's leg, so he picks it up and looks for a sharp stone to cut the tissue with. Magically, the frog jumps out of Matty's hand, using both legs to propel itself forward. Matty realizes that his own leg feels slightly are become weak. On the page thirteen one, he realized that Matty is special exist for Forest. The strengths of this book is Matty has power that he can fix people’s injury which is healing power. So, he healed Kira’s legs, and she saved because of him. It can not be real, so I thought it’s interesting ideas. In this book, Matty lost his childhood friend, Kira in beginning of the book. But, he could meet Kira in the middle part of the story. Then, they went to the dangerous Forest. I thought the messenger is interesting book because there’re many happening. I loved Matty as a character. He shows strength and courage as well as being a funny and intriguing character. He is very compassionate person and the ending broke my heart. If Matty help someone to heal injury, Matty is getting hurt. I was shocked when
