In the film Heathers, mise-en-scene, or visualization, contributes to not only the film as a whole but to describe the characters and shape the audience’s feelings. In the opening scene of the film, there is a girl putting her poofy, blonde hair up into a pony tail with a scrunchie. This initially lets the audience know that it is an older film and was probably made in the 1980’s or early 1990’s. The camera then pans out and it is three girls all with the same look in skirts and blazers playing croquet. This indicates that the girls probably come from a wealthy family.
In the article “10 qualities of a good teacher,” Southern New Hampshire University, a private, nonprofit, fully accredited institution university says, “Some qualities of a good teacher include skills in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy, and patience. Other characteristics of effective teaching include an engaging classroom presence, value in real-world learning, exchange of best practices, and a lifelong love of learning (Gagnon, 2019).” Being experienced in communicating with people comes with multiple benefits. Having that specific quality can assist in establishing relationships, which is important when deciding to teach. Additionally, being able to communicate well can help with employment.
I’ve also learned the skills required for this career which include: instructing, speaking, and activity. Being able to teach others and speak to them informatively is important into becoming a positive teacher. Being an active listener and speaker are activities that are essential because it is
Those characteristics are engaging, responsive, and approachable. Educators need to be engaging, the effect of teacher’s enthusiasm gives learners motivation to learn. For this training the motivation for the learner is because it’s their job. They are intrinsic based on survival, so they have to do well for the holiday season. Educators have to be responsive just responding yes or no to a question can’t truly reflect on the question so it needs to be explained well when the learners ask.
A teacher is more than an educated presenter of information, and more than the sum of the information and abilities he or she possesses. It has often been said that a leader knows, goes, and shows the way, which can also be said of a good teacher, who is by any definition a leader (Maxwell, 2010, p. 34). Mrs. Kalleward is a teacher who had such an impact on me, and in many ways she began to shape my career as an educator by teaching me how to be an effective and productive teacher in many areas. I am certain that I am one of many students who share this opinion of her, and that is why I am recognizing her today. Teachers who care enough about their students to form bonds with them have more far-reaching effects than simply imparting

As the field of education and learning evolve, the demand for efficient, effective and competent teachers also increases. Although teachers are now considered as facilitators of the learning process, there is still a great need for teacher leadership. Today, a teacher is not only someone who imparts knowledge to students; he must also be a leader in the classroom. Teacher leadership plays a significant role in the holistic development of students. Thus, all teachers should and must possess leadership qualities that will help students to nurture their potentials.
All skills apart from the academic ones which are important to being a good teacher and demonstrates my willingness to go the extra mile. Studying and working in education has shown me that it is a challenging and rewarding career, but I believe my track record of dedication and hard work in both elements suggests that I can meet its demands. My commitment to providing a first-rate education for any child has seen me strive to gain as many additionally useful skills as
Reflecting on my educational and practical experiences, I appreciate the infinite influence that teachers have on children. I realise that children will take the skills and knowledge learnt in the classroom and use it throughout their lives. I know a teacher has to deal with many daily pressures and challenges, in the classroom. However, I feel I require the skills needed to deal with these challenges. As a teacher I hope not only to be an educator but a positive role model, whom the children can look up to and trust.
1. Describe the skills or attributes you believe are necessary to be an outstanding teacher. Being an outstanding teacher goes beyond acquiring the competence and knowledge to deliver rigorous academic instruction to a diverse group of students. Not only children learn from teachers, teachers also need to learn from children. A successful teacher is willing to learn. Teachers know that they are encouraged to learn for lifetime and not just for a short time as teacher is a life-long learner. Teacher not only gives knowledge to children and also gains knowledge when they
Student Engagement A good teacher should know how to engage students in learning activities and be able to respond to diverse students needs in the classroom. The classroom observations I have seen these past week has shown me examples of good teachers. In all the classes I observed the students sat quietly and were always ready to raise their hands and answer questions. In my kindergarten class all the students were really into their assignments and wanted approval of their work from their teacher.
A teacher is a person who delivers an educational program, assesses student participation in an educational program, and administers or provides consistent and substantial leadership to an educational program. Teachers have the very important responsibility of shaping our generation to become someone one days. A teacher is also an agent for the realization of national educational philosophy which to produce individuals who are balanced in terms of physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and social. Recently, we 've got good news that teacher Yamin was selected among 50 top teachers around the world.
An outstanding teacher is made up of 5 main things. They are respectful and in turn respected, goal-driven, have strong classroom management, have an inner drive to learn more and teach better, and have a love for each and every student. Each and every day a teacher must show the students they teach respect. If a student respects you, they will work just that bit hard for you. It makes a difference.
Being a teacher is a journey that has much to do with learning about yourself and being aware that what happens in your classroom reflects only on how are you with yourself. Teachers are not conscious that they project into students, and that affects how things go in the classroom. I believe the first characteristic of a good teacher is that he/ she is always willing to analyze his/her teaching performance. Second the teacher is humble enough to receive input about the development and application of techniques, learning from it and improving.
