In the article “10 qualities of a good teacher,” Southern New Hampshire University, a private, nonprofit, fully accredited institution university says, “Some qualities of a good teacher include skills in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy, and patience. Other characteristics of effective teaching include an engaging classroom presence, value in real-world learning, exchange of best practices, and a lifelong love of learning (Gagnon, 2019).” Being experienced in communicating with people comes with multiple benefits. Having that specific quality can assist in establishing relationships, which is important when deciding to teach. Additionally, being able to communicate well can help with employment.
Those characteristics are engaging, responsive, and approachable. Educators need to be engaging, the effect of teacher’s enthusiasm gives learners motivation to learn. For this training the motivation for the learner is because it’s their job. They are intrinsic based on survival, so they have to do well for the holiday season. Educators have to be responsive just responding yes or no to a question can’t truly reflect on the question so it needs to be explained well when the learners ask.
This leads me to believe that a good teacher is one that can combine their instincts for children with a solid foundation of teaching techniques and understanding of behaviors and the factors that drive those

Teachers play a big part in students lives, you need to have the perfect balance of firmness and caring so your students respect you but also feel comfortable with you. Being an outstanding teacher goes beyond acquiring the competence and knowledge to deliver rigorous academic instruction to a diverse group of students. Outstanding teachers possess a multitude of qualities making them unique and unforgettable to the children they serve. I believe that outstanding teachers are passionate, inspired, creative, compassionate, patient and understanding.
An outstanding teacher is made up of 5 main things. They are respectful and in turn respected, goal-driven, have strong classroom management, have an inner drive to learn more and teach better, and have a love for each and every student. Each and every day a teacher must show the students they teach respect. If a student respects you, they will work just that bit hard for you. It makes a difference.
Student Engagement A good teacher should know how to engage students in learning activities and be able to respond to diverse students needs in the classroom. The classroom observations I have seen these past week has shown me examples of good teachers. In all the classes I observed the students sat quietly and were always ready to raise their hands and answer questions. In my kindergarten class all the students were really into their assignments and wanted approval of their work from their teacher.

Markley (2011) stated that Good and qualified teachers are essential for efficient functioning of educational systems and for enhancing the quality of learning. A good teacher and actions to be taken on his part in the classroom play a vital role in provoking effective and efficient learning on the part of the students. Parents trust their children to be taught and educated at school, to be hoped that they will become good and qualified human beings. A teacher takes an important role in motivating the students to get their success in their life.
