The discussion post I chose to go over was the Phineas Gage story, living (1823-1860) was a victim of a horrible accident in 1848. It is said that Phineas 's injuries helped scientists comprehend more about the brain and how humans behave, his story is also known as the “American Crowbar Case.” When Gage was only 25 years old he sustained an awful brain injury. This whole story made the public very curious and this also made a very important case for the scientists to try to help more understand how the brain works. Gage worked as a foreman on the construction of the Rutland and Burlington Railroad in Vermont in 1848. This job required him to often work with dynamite, on September 13th Gage was working with a tamping iron to make a compact explosion
