Alan’s therapist, Crystal Mangir, also said “If Alan were in a wheelchair, or had a cast on his leg, people would understand that something happened… but no one can see a broken brain” (Crimmins 199). This mentality would show why after Alan regained his ability of movement, the insurance companies decided not to pay for Alan’s rehab therapy since he was no longer in need of therapy. After a traumatic brain injury it is very important to relearn the daily bases activity and in most cases physical therapy is the final step to complete physical recovery. This misunderstanding of brain injury was what Cathy Crimmins hoped to shed light on throughout this

It was hard to believe I was headed to University of Michigan to watch the Wolverines play Akron in football. It was my first time going to the Big House. Our tickets came late, we had to print off four copies to get in . We got there so early we tailgated with some students. Then went to buffalo wild wings for drinks and to use the bathroom before we went in the stadium.
My artifact was an essay about Fahrenheit 451 answering the prompt, ”are we happy or just distracted?” I had to argue whether or not people were or were not happy with evidence cited from the book itself. I learned that people in the book were not happy but chose to distract themselves as shown through their actions. I was able to find evidence easily by looking through my annotations and picking out evidence that relates to my prompt. My essay’s main idea was to show the importance of happiness and why it is important.
The protagonist of the novel is Troy Maxson, a fifty-three year-old, African American who works for the sanitation department. Troy used to play baseball in the Negro Leagues. As soon as the Major Leagues started to accept blacks, Troy’s athletic ability began to degrade. Wilson symbolically gives the last name Maxson to Troy, because that was the name of the line that divided the north and the south during the civil war era. In addition, Troy’s name represent those who lived on the line between two contrasting viewpoints.
Your work on Julius Oppenheimer was very developmental in the way you constructed your CAD, which created a great story that framed his personal and professional issues that had major influences on his being and legacy as a member of history that will never be forgotten. However, I had to read your post three times, looking for the theme of the CAD and quickly understood you could not have selected a figure that would have been more difficult in describing part one of the exercise. Your description of his life, ailments and vulnerabilities were precise and painted a clear portrait of the items that contributed to his experience and likely enablers that were critically important to his knowledge, skills and abilities that ultimately led to

Carver Hawkeye Arena is a more grand experience during wrestling because wrestling is a lot better to watch opposed to football, my opinion though. I love everything about wrestling, I love the coaching style at Iowa, and they way the wrestlers at Iowa always stay so humble. If you go to a meet and you hear Terry screaming way to loud and jumping around like a panzi don’t worry its normal.
The bomb was thrown because people wanted an eight hour work day. Advantages for the workers was that they got better pay and hours. Disadvantages were that their bosses had to give them more pay and better hours so things probably didn’t get done as
Sammy sees himself as a hero. He is an adventurous hero because his infatuation with Queenie takes him on an adventure down a tricky path that he is anxious to overcome. Sammy shows his heroic tendencies when he speaks his mind to his boss for humiliating the three girls who came in the store. “You didn’t have to embarrass them.” As quickly as he could, Sammy expresses his disappointment for how Lengel shames the three girls, in hopes that Queenie acknowledges his heroics.
I never knew that back then college football teams were competing against the army. It was interesting to see that those game were common and usually in favor of the army with the reputation that it has of being strong. Imagine be sentenced to death knowing you did nothing wrong. Imagine having to figure out what legacy you want to leave on this world when you haven't even been alive in this world for 25 years. In a Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines, this is what a 21 year old black man is expected to do when he is wrongfully accused of a crime he did not commit. He is sentenced to death and Grant and Reverend Ambrose have taken on the challenge of making this boy into a man who will die as a Christ figure the way a man should. The purpose of Jefferson’s diary at the end of the novel is to show his growth, and to prove that Grant and Reverend have done their job of making Jefferson into a man before his execution, throughout the chapter it shows his
