Steroid use has been clinically proven to help people who are ill when used correctly. Steroid use can also be detrimental when it is abused and used incorrectly. There are many side effects in the use of steroids depending on each individual and the way the steroid is being used. There are many positive benefits of using steroids. Steroid use is proven to help people who are severely ill help gain weight as well as help people to maintain normal weight when they medically cannot do so. It can also help treat individuals with asthma or arthritis. “Anabolic steroids may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.” (Pruthi). When used correctly, steroids help with many everyday sicknesses.
