Should Japan get bombed? Did they deserve it? Do you think revenge is the key to success? All these questions were being asked when the government was deciding to drop the bomb or not. Most say yes, this bomb should be dropped since it ended the war, but is it really worth it to kill many innocent lives? Although, Japan had many opportunities to surrender and we told them if they didn't there would be a mass destruction. Japan chose to ignore the threat and just brush it off. So, yes, Japan deserved to be bombed, they dropped a bomb on us first we are just firing back. Plus, it ended World War II, which is what everyone wanted. The Air Force dropped many Atomic Bombs in Japan leading to many deaths.They killed about 15,000 people but they deserved it. “However, according to Japan's Longest Day, the civilian politicians were able to use the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to break the deadlock in cabinet and end the war.” (Weatherbe). Many people have different opinions on rather the bomb should have been dropped or not, it just depends on your views of war and mass killings. Many say the U.S would have won even if they didn't use the bombs but without fighting this way.. Would the war be ended without killing many of our U.S soldiers? People think the bombs were uncalled for and we could have done this another way without taking thousands of lives. While others think Japan bombed us first so it’s the right thing to do. The people in Japan were not criminals and didn't deserve to die, but they killed us Americans too and we didn't deserve it. Yes, to it ending the war because without the A-Bomb war wouldn't have ended. This bomb didn't just save the U.S, it saved lots of countries.
