Americans consume roughly 200 Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) almost every year; they are in everything we put in our bodies every day, such as coffee. Waking up in the morning a majority of Americans drink coffee before they go to work. Well GMOs are in that beverage we drink on a daily routine. However, if there wasn’t GMO foods that were able to produce mass production of the foods we eat every day, how many families would suffer from not being able to attain food? How high would prices be to purchase natural products? GMO foods should not be banned because the government relies on them to feed people through mass production, benefits the consumers and farmers economically, and reduces exposure of diseases that are passed through traditional foods. Genetically modified organisms are an invention that genetic engineers made to produce different plant, bacteria, and virus genes that are unnatural through the process of crossbreeding. GMOs are in products that we eat on a daily basis; for example, corn, tomatoes, avocados, and many other vegetables.
