This country was founded on rock and roll, by rock and roll I mean the sound of cannon fire and the smell of gunpowder. Truly remember how this country was founded, and the values that our forefathers hailed at the highest regard. The second amendment, the right to bear arms, is a highly debated topic among the American people. People who are uneducated about, or did not grow up around firearms, are afraid of what they don’t know. Meanwhile people that are around them, take the time to understand and value their rights as a citizen choose to arm themselves for the protection of selve, their family, and community. Removal of firearms in the United states of America does nothing to increase the safety of its citizens.
Consequently tightening or restrictive gun laws hurts law abiding citizens making the people, households and communities a target for crime. Restrictive laws take the capacity for self defense from the people they are attempting to protect, and transition the balance of power from law abiding citizens, to the criminals who use firearms in an abusive manor. Due to this power shift, the policies have created the optimum environment for an opportunistic criminal to thrive and prey upon the average citizen.
