Safety, control, and independence are all elements gained from guns, unfortunately, people often find themselves abusing these privileges. The government has remained ignorant to these constant abuses concerning the economy and is suffering because of the lack of proper regulations on gun control. Although gun control is very much needed in society, there are also limitations concerning these new rules. During their lifetime, every human goes through three stages of growth. The three stages include: your basic needs, your psychological needs, and your self-fulfilment needs. These needs can neither be skipped nor avoided, for they affect every aspect of human life. Gun control is a much needed element of society, but there can always be too much of a good concept. Gun control is a term used lightly, but when applied to reality, it is a very serious situation. It is in human nature to do the exact opposite of what someone tells them to. If the new gun control laws are put into place, more people will disobey these new laws than obey. According to an article, gun violence led to a devastating discovery due to hospital admissions. In a Children’s hospital, “An emergency department visit for non-fatal assault injury places a youth at 40 percent higher risk for subsequent firearm injury.” (Balasubramanian 1). A few years back, people would walk freely across the street, without the fear of being hurt or shot. Today, adults hide their children from people who look as if they could pose a threat. To prevent these situations from happening, there should be more education on gun safety and proper handling in schools and public places. Guns were invented for the well being of society, unfortunately, some people are given guns that are not equipped to handle them properly, and the country is suffering because of it. Although enforcing new laws will benefit society today, years down the road, new laws will have to be issued for the safety and well-being of the United States of
