Should IVM be used to end world hunger is a big ethical issue, there are issues on both sides of the argument. In-vitro means “in a test tube” or a culture dish or anywhere outside of a living organism. This meat could be used to end world Hunger, because it is cheap and easy to create and doesn’t use any real animal products, but because of this there are also some disadvantages to their use in society. This investigation, will show both sides pf this argument the pros, who believe that we should continue to study these meats and those who believe that it is unnatural, and could destroy our economy. But first we need to understand what In-vitro meats are.

Such as currently the meats are quite expensive to create costing $80 per kilogram of the ground meat, whilst the price is currently planned to drop it is unknown if it will . Some people are wary of their use due to how new they are, whilst there have been no recorded illnesses from their use, they could have possible unknown health consequences that we don’t know about yet due to the meats only having been in use for the past 5 years . It was also seen as being unnatural, because it is meat that has been created in a lab, not grown on a farm somewhere. They were being less appealing than the real deal meat, and is currently only limited to ground beef, severely limiting what you can create with it, and because it doesn’t go through the daily struggles of life it is being less meat worthy because people believe that it will have less muscle on it. But the biggest issue that people have with it, is the possible negative impact that it will have on farmers, because people will no longer be buying products from them, severely changing the economy and ruining people’s lives, but this could only effect the beef industry as of
