We live in a great globalised world with an easy access to technologies, full of people that can freely and easily move through the European Union. Besides being something positive, it also means that criminals have an extensive market to deal in and extra places to hide themselves and their possessions.
After the 9/11 attacks in New York City, United States of America, associated with the Islamic group al-Qaeda, some world institutions realized how easy crimes can be conducted by anyone, anywhere. In order to try to prevent such criminal actions, a few law enforcement agencies experienced a regional and world development to have a superior insight of crime worldwide.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) was created after the attacks in the United States of America in order to deal with war crimes, crimes against humanity, and tries entities for genocide. Also, a few legislations regarding terrorism were created so the risk to the public and the rights of a terrorist suspect can be balanced. …show more content…

Another contemporary problem is the coordination between the different agencies, which involves: getting agencies to complete the same responsibilities to work together (sometimes certain agency might not want to cooperate with the other), getting diverse agencies in an area to work more helpfully together, and guaranteeing that the local work of the agencies functions within an outline of priorities that reflect national and internationally recognised
