I have a complaint, and wish a legal ruling prior to allowing a Correctional Officer to become involved in a legal battle or worse yet, injured: Currently, the Department of Corrections has the authority and directives for Officers to use force within the building or confines of their building. In some instances, where perimeter patrols are on duty, use of force directives apply. There are strict directives for Certified Officers to use force. When certified as a PTO and off institutional grounds these directives again apply. Moreover, these directives apply directly to those inmates who are property remand into the custody of the State.

In 2010, Arizona S.B. 1070 was an anti-illegal immigration law that was passed to focus on identifying, prosecuting, and deporting undocumented immigrants. Arizona’s law enforcement officials could detain anyone who was suspected of living in the country illegally. The law also made it a state misdemeanor crime to for an alien to not carry registration papers and people in the country illegally to solicit work. The United States Border Patrol (USBP) has a well-appreciated reputation of the agency that is reliable for patrolling our borders and refusing any illegal immigrants from accessing our country. Of course, in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, the principal goal of the USBP is to identify and stop the insertion of terrorists, weapons of mass destruction, and, as stated earlier, illegal aliens into the United States. The act of “Stop and Frisk” began in the early 1900’s when crime rates began to escalate in major cities such as New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Stop, question, and frisk, or SQF, is an urban policing measure that involves the large-scale deployment of officers in public spaces (e.g., sidewalks, alleys, the communal outdoor spaces of public housing) tasked with conducting frequent investigative stops (Huq, A. Z. (2017). In the articles provided, it is questioned whether New York’s stop and frisk policy is constitutional or not. I agree with the court's ruling, I believe Judge Scheindlin seemed too involved. “Judge Shira A. This is a limited search where the police officer confronts a person that he or she deems suspicious with the goal being crime prevention. The police officer does this by patting the person down for weapons, as well as questioning the individual. However, the people stopped are predominantly Black and Latino.
Gun violence among youths residing on the South side of Chicago is the number one problem facing the city of Chicago. Each year more than 500 people are killed as a result of gun violence among Chicago youths. This problem has caused financial constraints on the city. Chicago city had to spend huge amount of money hiring more police to patrol the affected neighborhood. Many profitable businesses had been forced to close down due to gun violence among youths.
How do you feel about about adding more border security? Border security is a way of having more protection so people don 't come into a country where they are not from without having thier document or having permission to come into another country. I say there is no need of that because no matter how much security they have people are going to come into the country that they don 't belong in and also because there they are full of ideas to come in the country. I think there is no need of more border security because there will always be a way into the country. For an example people that are trying to cross the border, meet up with other people and pay them and they help them cross without the immigration people knowing.
Gangs attributes to almost 90 percent of all gun violence in Chicago (Saul, Newsweek). Because gangs attribute to such a large amount of gun violence they should be the number one priority for Chicago’s police. One such tactic that could potentially make a substantial difference in reducing the amount of murders that happen is hot spot policing. Hot spot policing is not a new tactic in any way however it has proven to be affective. Hot spot policing is a practice in which small areas with a high concentration of crime that occurs frequently is targeted and focused on more heavily then it would be under normal circumstances (Hot spot policing, National Institute of Justice).

Racial profiling has spread over all over the world. Racial profiling has been a problem through the years, if the human race can learn what racial profiling is, advantages of the profiling, and the disadvantages.
