THE RENAISSANCE The Renaissance took place from the 1357 to the 1600. This was the period of rebirth from the time of the plague. The people of Florence were moving away from the somber medieval times and sought new ways of life. The people started to learn some new ways of art. Another thing the people of the Renaissance were also discovering the statues of the early Greeks and Roman’s sculptures.The people started to also translate some of the books of the Greek’s and Roman’s that survived the Barbarians. The ways the people of the Renaissance were making better art was by the technique such as perspective. Instead of flat paintings, they used this to make the art look realistic someways they did this was ti make people in the back looking shorter than the people in the front. Another thing the artists did was shade colors in to make the skin or clothes look more realistic. The artists also made the art better and different because they used bright and vibrant colors rather than the plain colors in the art before the Renaissance. Before the printing press the books were written by hand so books were rare and expensive. With the printing press they could make an original copy and put metal frames together and print the books. With this, the education of reading was much better and spreading quicker than before. People were learning how to do many things on their own like reading and writing. When people learned how to read and write they were figuring out that some things the Church was teaching could be wrong. The people went on their own and were doing things outside of the church.
