The people during this time were treated unequal and were discouraged so Americans around the country took a stand. Behind this cause was the power of the strong leaders that convinced people to take their side, the right side. The speeches by these leaders took a huge and powerful effect on these individuals by the way they styled their words. This style is called rhetoric. The use of rhetoric are words that have the power to calm, inspire and provoke.
