Phineas and the adolescent brain are similar and different in physical and mental in many ways. Phineas Gage was a guy that had a medical Myrical happen. With this Myrical though there were a few things he had to face. These things had similarities and differences to adolescents. Adolescents are the undeveloped teenage brain. Some similarities that they had included, the same parts of the brain and problems with dissection-making. Some differences they had include, how Phineas had a damaged brain and how Phineas was happy than vulgar the next.
Phineas Gage, as well as the adolescent brain, have the same parts of the brain. On page 299 it says, “The brain is a very small change in the path of the iron would be very different results.” This shows the types of the brain and how they are the same. It shows there that the brain could change whatever happens and it would make it different, but it does not talk about how the parts of the brain would be similar. Even though they do have the same parts of the brain Phineas did have a damaged brain. On page 253 it says, “It excited his forehead between the two hemispheres of the cortex.” This shows how Phineas has a damaged cortex while the adolescent brain does not and is

On page 296 it says, “Like Phineas, these patients with frontal lobe damage have trouble making decisions Naturally when it says the word, “patient” It was talking about how the adolescent brain and Phineas brain had trouble making decisions. The difference in behavior when talking about Phineas and the adolescent brain is Phineas was rude after his incident. On page 292 it says, “The new Phineas was pigheaded and stubborn one moment wishy-washy and vague the next.” This shows how Phineas had a sudden change in his way of thinking and behavior after the accident. He was not like this before. This was only happening because of the accident
