Social loafing Similar to the Ringlemann effect this theory shows how motivation is reduce when within a group. This theory states that the more people who are in a single team the less motivated each individual is this is because the team’s performance is less dependent on an individual but spread across a wide the team. Although, the individual may not work as hard because their effort may become shrouded amongst the rest of the team’s effort and success.
